Daniel Johnston's music has a cult following whose members include Sonic Youth, the late Kurt Cobain, Half Japanese, and Yo La Tengo. His manic depressive ridden songs and drawings give a glimpse into his upside down world which at times are both childishly pathetic and beautifully profound.
